Team India represented by Pankaj Advani, Laxman Rawat and Malkeet Singh blanked Team Pakistan 3-0 ( 87-05, 133-0, 70-55) in the Finals of the 5th Asian Snooker Team Championship held at Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from 3rd to 5th July 2017.
Pankaj Advani started superbly and sealed a lead of 1-0 with an excellent break of 83. Laxman Rawat extended the lead to 2-0 with immaculate potting with breaks of 48 and 73 unfinished.
In the doubles the Pakistani team represented by Md. Bilal and Babar Masih took a lead of 45 points, but Bilal missed a long pot in the no 1 pocket which presented a chance to Laxman Rawat who replied with a 49 break only to miss the pink of the last red and presented an easy clearance to Masih who missed the green under pressure and left it on the corner pocket. Pankaj Advani had to play a messi shot to pot the green and a brilliant long brown in the no 4 pocket and then cleared to seal the match for India.
Hope this victory will reverse all the luck required in all the other games against Pakistan.
In the semi finals India Beat Thailand 3-0. And in the Quarter finals India beat Iran A team. 3-1.
