Amee Kamani, the Indore based International cueist of Madhya Pradesh covered herself with glory here at the Sports Club of Gujarat even as the curtain came down on the last day of the 13 days Casa Copenhagen 6 red snooker championship 2020 jointly organized by the Gujarat State Billiards Association & the Sports club of Gujarat under the auspices of the Billiards & Snooker Federation Of India which concluded on Wednesday evening

Amee won the National 6 red Ladies snooker championship defeating her good friend, the multiple times national champion, Vidya Pillai of Karnataka by 4 frames to 2.
The Ladies final never rose to any great height as Vidya played well below par to allow Amee to cruise home, a 4-2 frames victor by 48-60, 41-00, 46-09, 39-17, 18-28 and 30-17 points.
Amee potting, to a nicety, began in a whirlwind fashion to pocket the second, third and fourth frame after Vidya had taken the first frame with commendable ease.
Amee down by 0-1 came to the billiards table with an aggressive manner just outpotting Vidya before even Vidya could consolidate on her good start.
However, Vidya did get one back by wresting the fifth frame in a battle for ” the safety first ” tactics. In the end Amee faltered on the colours stage, capitalising on which Vidya was able to stage a comeback of sorts.
Leading by 3-2, Amee played a trifle cautiously in the process of scoring well on the opportunity which presented herself.
Potting confidently on the colours stage, she contrived a situation where Vidya gave her a chance.
Pouncing on it, Amee completed the formality of winning the frame and match thereafter.
